Poco comes with a SoC manufacturer that none of us have heard of in its newly announced C40 model. Neither Mediatek nor HiSilicon nor Unisoc. So who is this mysterious company?
Poco continues its sales as an affordable phone series in certain regions of the world. Poco, which has done a very interesting job with the C40 model, uses the SoC produced by a company called "JQL" on this phone. This SoC named JR510; It has 4 ARM Cortex A53 cores running at 1.5GHz and four cores, which are estimated to be ARM Cortex A55s running at 2.0GHz. The estimated rival of JR510, which scored 155 points in single core and 749 points in multi-core, is Snapdragon 662.

This phone, which is very similar to the Redmi 10C in design, is actually different from the Redmi 10C as a SoC. Coming with an IPS display with a resolution of 720x1650, the C40 has a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The C40 model, which comes with an 8MP front camera, has a 6000 mAh battery and comes with a fingerprint reader embedded in the power button.
Codenamed "Frost", the C40 will come with the Android 11-based "MIUI Go" interface. MIUI Go interface aims for a new interface and more economical resource consumption on affordable devices.
So, who is this JLQ?
JLQ is a China-based microchip company that produces SoCs for LoT products and smart devices, founded in 2017. The company, which currently has about 100 employees, has a huge capital of around half a billion dollars, despite its unknown and small size. According to rumors, the company, which is said to be the co-founder of Qualcomm, takes Snapdragon series chips and customizes them according to them and sells them to manufacturers such as Poco.
In fact, this company had previously sent certain chip models to a few manufacturers. This company, which is used in models such as the TW104 of the company named Treswave, also has other SoC models.
So, what are the details of this processor used in the Poco C40?
This chipset, which unfortunately does not support 5G, comes with a Qualcomm brand modem. This 8-core SoC will come with cores, which are estimated to be 4 Cortex A53 and 4 Cortex A55, as we wrote above. The JR510, which has a Mali G-52 GPU, will be Samsung production, although there is no certain information.
